About Eddie Fordham
The 'String’ project evolved from the notion of ‘taking a line for a walk’. Paul Klee described how a simple line, the weight, tone severity or gentleness can express emotions. I see the images as ‘sculptural drawings’ found in situ and manipulated by the weather. These ‘drawings’ change daily and are very much dependent on the wind and rain for their structure. These will eventually decay and disappear. Their longevity is unknown and I feel, draw comparisons to the human condition.
Born 1958, Southampton. I completed my degree in Fine Art (Photography) at Exeter in 1997.
