This expressive landscape oil painting continues a body of work where the catalyst is singular or multiple reflections. I often sit, transfixed by the ever-changing compositions that occur with changing light levels and colour bouncing around on water. This painting was inspired by my garden, the beautiful yellow flowers of courgettes, tomato flowers and Honeysuckle to name but a few. I could simply paint the scene, but for me, the soul is in the memorizing and painting the essence of that, trying catch a fleeting feeling and colour.
