Summer Garden Recollected Reflections 2
SOLD.....to a collector in Perth, Australia
Oil on canvas
32cm x 32cm
This painting continues a body of work where the catalyst is, singular or multiple reflections, often in water but could be anything that reflects light. I often sit, fascinated by the ever-changing compositions that occur with, wind blowing the surrounding fauna, changing light levels, colour bouncing around on water. This painting was inspired by my garden, the deep yellow flowers of courgettes, tomato flowers and Honeysuckle to name but a few. I could simply paint the scene, but for me, the essence is in the recollection, the painting, is my interpretation of a recollected memory.
